Executive Joinery for Hayfin Capital Management

Located in Piccadilly, Hayfin Capital Management’s headquarters required a refined and highly functional executive environment. The boardroom and executive offices sit at the core of the firm’s operations, spaces that need to support decision-making while reflecting the tone of the organisation.

The challenge was to balance functionality with restraint, creating furniture that carried presence without excess.

Defining the Scope

Young & Norgate were entrusted to design, manufacture and install a suite of bespoke furniture for the headquarters. The scope encompassed the boardroom and executive offices, including a custom boardroom and meeting room tables.

Each piece was developed specifically for its setting, ensuring proportion, material choice and detailing responded directly to the character of the space.

Form, Function and Control

The mandate for the project was clear: form, function and functionality.

Material and finish selections were made to support longevity while maintaining a composed aesthetic. The furniture needed to withstand daily professional use without compromising visual clarity.

In the boardroom, the central table establishes the tone of the space. Its scale and detailing were carefully considered to provide authority while maintaining balance within the room.

Within the executive offices, bespoke desks and storage solutions were designed to integrate seamlessly into the interior, supporting workflow without introducing visual noise.

Rather than relying on statement gestures, the project focused on proportion, material discipline and precise fabrication.

The Result

The completed boardroom and executive offices provide a workspace that feels deliberate and cohesive.

Functionality is embedded within the furniture rather than applied to it. Materials contribute quiet depth. The environment supports high-level discussion and day-to-day operations without distraction.

As Tim Flynn, CEO of Hayfin Capital Management, noted:

“The mandate was form, function and functionality. Young & Norgate nailed it.”
