It’s show time once again and along side our current collection we’re excited to be releasing our recently designed Prop Stool. Taking inspiration from the war time aviation industry, this three legged beauty features an inlay of hard wearing organic leather.
We’ve also teamed up with interior stylist Tara Craig who has curated stunning work from Adam Bray, Popham Tiles, and Sigmar Lighting.

When we set up our business, one of the things we really wanted to embrace was being hands on. We employ a dedicated bunch of talented craftsmen who love what they do, know their stuff and make sure that whatever leaves the workshop is quality. Everything is done in house and we intend to keep it that way.

We were recently asked to gift our services and come up with a lectern to compliment a stunning new seminar space at the Earth Project – ‘a leading centre of excellence for environmental and renewable energy technology education and training for students, businesses and the wider community.’ www.bictonearth.co.uk
The space is incredibly light and we wanted to play with that, as well as satisfying the credentials of the centre, so we made the most of workshop offcuts creating a void detail to capture sunlight and movement. Not something to hide behind when delivering a speech on how to save the world.

Its been a busy winter period for us, as well as working on some fantastic furniture projects we’ve also taken on some much larger work which we will be showcasing on the site shortly. From custom made staircases, retail interiors to bespoke kitchens we’ve definitely put the workshop through it’s paces and really pleased with the results.

After a fantastic show at Earl’s Court and all the positive feedback, we thought we would squeeze in one more show for the year – this time at Midcentury Modern in Dulwich. We are looking forward to seeing what is on display as this really is a must for discovering classic and modern collectables.
‘This show could cause design lovers a cardiac arrest.’ Grand Designs
‘The Midcentury Modern Fair, held in the historic Dulwich College, has me reaching for my purse every time.’ Grace Bonney, Design Sponge
‘The brilliantly curated Modern Shows is a must-visit event for anyone after original mid-century design.’ Charlotte Abrahams, freelance design writer FT How to Spend it, Guardian, Observer, Elle
‘Held in the beautiful and very appropriate Christison building designed by Wates in the Sixties, this show is stuffed with all the recognisable classics of Scandinavian, American and British heroes of 20C design. It’s like visiting a design museum where you can sit on the classics, talk to knowledgable people and then take the exhibits home with you. I enjoy every show immensely and would recommend this show to any lover of design.’ Matthew Hilton

We were pleased to have our Zimmer Sideboard selected to feature in The Living Room Exhibition as part of London Design Week. The exhibition will be presented in the gallery space adjoining Luna & Curious in London’s fashionable Shoreditch area.
‘The Living Room will showcase a selection of products, furniture and printed works that have been designed and made in Britain. Bringing together established designers and emerging talent, the exhibition aims to promote British design to a wide audience in a quirky and idiosyncratic setting. The hand-picked selection of products will form the constituent parts of a typical British living room, transforming the gallery space into an environment that evokes familiar memories and associations. By presenting the designs in a contextual setting we aim to demonstrate their beauty in use and the possibility to combine well designed products to create attractive tableaux. The display will also feature some jovial nods and winks to aspects of traditional British culture, helping us achieve our goal of promoting talented British designers in a unique and entertaining way.’ from the curators Jonathan Krawczuk and Alyn Griffiths.
We are currently working on a redesign of the Zimmer Sideboard to coincide with the exhibition, and have been sponsored by the Formica Group to trial recently launched materials.
The exhibition runs from 17th September – 2 October.

With 100% design fast approaching, our eager anticipation grows each day. We’re really pleased with our début range and can’t wait to exhibit at Earls Court.
A world away from our studio/workshop on the South Devon coast, it is an exciting opportunity for our furniture to compete with the bustling atmosphere of London.
Come along and take a closer look at our work – the beauty is in the detail.
Can’t wait to see you all there.
